Summer Solstice Ceremony & Celebration! [Portland]

  • Earthspace PDX 4135 SE Gladstone St, Portland, OR 97202 USA (map)

hosted by Sarah Rayne

Join us for a magical & festive Summer Solstice Ceremony & Celebration! The Summer Solstice (aka Midsummer) is the longest day of sunlight on the wheel of the year. It represents a time of fullness, abundance, flourishing, magic, and joy.

This potent 2 hour group healing ceremony will be held mostly outside around a beautiful fire! We will begin with a talk on the energies of the Summer Solstice, abundance, gratitude, sun magic, and some of our herbal allies blooming at this time of year. We will weave magic, joy, and celebration into our community gathering.

After our talk & community discussion, you'll be led in a guided sun meditation, followed by magical nature crafting (you’ll have the opportunity to create your own herbal smoke clearing wand or protective amulet out of freshly gathered herbs + flowers!), a gratitude ceremony, and a fireside song + dance. The last 15 minutes of the event will be left open for a community feast + fireside 1-card oracle readings from Sarah!

Honoring the changing of the seasons and the rhythms of the earth allows us to come into deeper connection and harmony with the natural cycles of ebb and flow that we travel through as the wheel of the year turns. This can help invite us into deeper connection with our own inner rhythms, and deep ancestral wisdom.

If you can, please bring a snack or dish that is easy to share for the community feast! We will be providing some snacks as well, but the more, the merrier!

Feel free to dress up or down, and adorn yourself with the fullness of summer with sparkles, face paint, and/or flowers if your heart desires!

All are welcome - no experience necessary!
